I'm expecting great things!

That's the line that's been in my head all day today. It's from the song Great Things by Preshea Hilliard.
You ultimately get what you expect out of life. If you expect sorrow and pain, it will be patiently waiting for you! But if you expect great things; blessings, favor, mercy, an abundant life, that will find you!
Maybe you've been in a tough season where great things feel like a fantasy. Know that seasons change. At some point your season will change. The dark clouds will not last forever. The sun will come and healing rain will soothe your wounded soul.
Jeremiah 31:3-6 says "Long ago the Lord said to Israel: “I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself. I will rebuild you, my virgin Israel. You will again be happy and dance merrily with your tambourines. Again you will plant your vineyards on the mountains of Samaria and eat from your own gardens there. The day will come when watchmen will shout from the hill country of Ephraim, ‘Come, let us go up to Jerusalem to worship the Lord our God.’”
Israel went through a season of judgement as well as pruning and refining. It was tough. Its was painful but it did come to an end. God had diligently planned their restoration and shared His vision with them. Their season was about to change. Just like them, your season is about to change. So expect great things!
